We met Ronnie and Faye at Tyler yesterday where Ronnie was playing for the East Texas Steel Guitar Association. We had a great time and He played suppurb. However, Ronnie called me on his way home and said he had received word that his house was on fire and he was hurrying to get home. A tree near the house was struck by lightning and had fallen toward the house and the lightning dug a trench to the house and set it on fire. I just talked to them and they are absolutely devistated. Ronnie had left his brand new Mullen at home where he was practicing and Faye had taken 20 years of photos of Ronnie's show home to put in order to preserve.
I am sure there is a large number of you folks who know Ronnie and Faye and I am sure they will covet your prayers and thoughts. They have a lot to take care of today and they need our support. God Bless.
Wayne & Perceline
P.S. I will update this news as we receive it.

This is terrible news for the steel guitar family. Ronnie came a long way to play a great program for us in Tyler and then to go home to this tragedy.

All of us need to heep them in mind and see what we can do to help them.

All of us at ETSGA send our concerns for there two fine people.

Wayne ,I don`t know you Ronnie or Faye but this is such a terrible thing to happen I just wonder if insurance would pay out on such an event. I don`t think my prayers would help as I don`t yet have religion but it sure would`ent hurt me to put 50 bucks into an envelope if I knew where to send it??

Who has the most benevalent heart, the one who says, " I will pray for you, or the one who says I will be happy to send fifty bucks"? Sounds like we have a good Samaritan in spite of his religious stance. Carol and I have sent a gift and I hope that many others will as well. Ronnie has contributed a lot to this industry.

Thing is Jerry ,this is a big forum now read all over the world and a lot of people would not realise that they could just post something to....
Ronnies

And show some solidarity to this forum bro and his wife even if its only our best wishes
I know the little I can do will make no differance, but I can imagine how it would make me feel if I were in that position and received a huge post bag from all my forum Bro`s.
This forum is one of the nicest things I have ever been a part of, and on my recent visit to the USA have had nothing but kindness and hospitality from my forum Bro`s.
Thanks to all I met.
