It looks like a lot of pedal steel for the money...is this all pull or a pull release? I still haven't been able to find one in my budget range....but for this price I am definitely interested. Is it ready to play now or do I need to have any work done to it? |

David,
Did you state that you'd take it like I did?? All you said is that you were "interested". And then you asked questions about it if it is ready to play, etc. For that price, I didn't worry about that. Maybe you would back out if there were problems, I wouldn't.
That's fine if you need it. I have no problem with it. And also I don't need your rude remark about reselling it. This is a free enterprise system. If a seller has a guitar for sale and I, as a buyer, agree to that price, that is all anyone should worry about. It is none of your business what I do with the guitar, is it? It would be mine at that time.
I am so fed up with people like you on the forum that make these kind of remarks. If you wanted it right out you should state that and don't beat around the bush. Every guitar I ever sell I make sure that they are top quality when they leave my house. I may purchase a guitar for a good price, but a lot of times I have to spend a lot of money and/or time and effort to get that guitar up to where it plays well like it should.
So, again, your remark about reselling is uncalled for and this is the first time I actually spoke up about this. It is not the first time that guys like me who may flip some guitars hear these remarks.
We all make sure that these guitars are up to par before we resell them.
So if you want the guitar, just state that. Don't say "I'm interested". That is open to interpretation.
Lastly, to answer your question below, you said that I should have said that "I'd take it if you were unable to take it". Again, where did you ever say that you would take it David? You said you were interested. Big difference.

You are right....it was uncalled for Al...please accept my apology. The remark should have come in a personal reply to you, if it at all.
However, I do believe that you should have specified that if I were unable to purchase the steel guitar then you wanted it after me. Just my opinion.
Regardless, I could have handled it better on my part and I do hope you will accept my apology. |
