I know there are a few folks on here who live in NYC. I've been playing with a country band in Brooklyn, and until last week we were practicing at a space in Gowanus, at 2nd Ave and 15th street. I don't want to name any names, but it was really small and the building is in terrible shape. So we moved just a few blocks up 2nd Ave to another space that turned out to be problematic as well. After just one practice next to a room with a very loud metal band, we don't think we'll stay.

Can anyone recommend a good, clean, sound protected place in central or south Brooklyn, for under $300 a month? We would love to have a space that is on the ground floor... particularly for me. Steel on stairs is a killer.

Any leads or info is greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Zach
