I have just received a very nice used MSA semi-classic model steel guitar. It is a single 10 in rosewood formica with 3 pedals, 1 knee lever and case and is in very good condition for its age. It has a few scratches on the legs and endplates, but not that bad at all. You could add more knee levers if you can locate parts or have them made. The only other thing I will mention is the case which is in good condition actually is a 12 string case and it is too long but I have put some fillers on the inside so the steel will fit. The outside of the case is very sound and a person could do a little work on the inside and it would be fine. It does have one latch that needs to be replaced but no big deal. I am only asking $795.00 for this excellent guitar. If you are not familiar with this model, it is what is called a semi-pro model and is not really a student model guitar. I take trades all the time but it is rare that I get a guitar this nice for this low price. I played an MSA for several years back in the seventies when I was on the road and they are some of the best built guitars ever made. I will try to post some pictures later today or tomorrow.

I'm a beginner, and it sounds like a good first guitar. Pics would be great. Very Happy

Carl, It is really a nice guitar and much better than a student model. My daughter is coming over to make the pictures and it will be either late tonight or probably tomorrow but I will get them posted as soon as she gets here. She lives about 20 miles away and has to work it out.

Thanks,

From what I've heard I'm better of getting something above a student model so I don't grow out of it too quickly - with my 45 years of guitar playing in many idioms, I'll be looking for some obscure intervals! I have a milling machine and lathe and a full woodshop to make any parts.Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

I thought this was closed several months ago as it was sold last September.
