It seems like a long time since we had our last jam, so, if at all possible, don't miss this one coming up!! Let's see how many steels we can line up across the Community Center. Each player that generally comes has their own style and sound. Like no other instrument, the steel guitar depends on the player! I've heard it said that no matter the kind of guitar or amplifier and other equipment, Buddy Emmons always sounded like Buddy Emmons! And I guess it can be said of all of us that attempt to play this beautiful instrument! Everyone of us has a voice to talk with, but each of our voices sound different. If I know you and I hear the sound of your voice. I don't even have to look and I know it's you! It's so interesting to hear the different sounds of all the steel players! So, come on all of you....let's have a lot of fun. Show us your new 'licks' or a new tune that you composed! That way we'll get to learn some new tunes to play!! That's Sunday, October 16, 1 - 5 p.m. at the Community Center in Branson! If you've never been to one of the OzSGA's jams, please come!!! We love to meet new friends and hear them play. And if you don't play, come and just listen and enjoy some great music. There's always some 'munchies' to nibble on, too!! Delicious!! We'll be looking for YOU!!!

Have you heard it said.....Please say it again! OK, I will!! The OzSGA Jam is just a few days away! If you want to jam with us, you need your steel guitar and amp, then you'll be in business. There'll be a space for you, for sure! You'll have a real talented band behind you and some refreshments to 'chew' on when you get hungry! Please come and we'll have a lot of fun and enjoy a lot of music! See ya!!! That's October 16, Sunday afternoon.....1-5 p.m.
Jerry

Just a reminder about the 16th of October. The perfect opportunity to bring your guitar and a friend and have a good time. The Branson community center is the place and 1:00 is the time.

Hope to see you there.

Next weekend, Saturday and Sunday, October 15 and 16, we've got a lot going on here in the Ozarks. October 15, Woody (Terry Wood) has launched a new Gospel Steel Show. I'm looking forward to that. Then the next day down in Branson, we have our October Jam at the Community Center. How about some of you pickers that are playing on Saturday at the Gospel Show coming on down to the Branson Jam on Sunday afternoon. Larry Gerdeman is planning on staying over and we're so glad! And also we heard that Roger Hurst might come. We hope he can make it! It starts at 1:00!! See ya there!!!
