Andy was a good friend and I talked with him for a long time at the Dallas show in March when he told me that the ones he had with him were all.
I spoke with him several times after that - what a nice man.
Now back to the picks - I had forgotten that Doug was making them.
Sorry Doug

Hello Edward;
I searched thru the Steel Forum & the 1st post I can find by Andy about his coated picks was Oct 2008.
Are you sure you bought coated picks from him at that time? .. He just did not seem like the type of man to not fulfill his obligations when I met & talked to him.
Here is the post I was talking about where he introduced them to the public here on the steel forum for sale >

Hello Ron,
You are Right about Andy Hinton not starting his Coated FingerPicks business until around 9 Oct 2008.
Pryor to that date, Mr. Chuck Brattain was Coating Pick's, along with his "Red Rajah Bars", In fact andy was still buying his coated pick from Mr Brattain on Or about 7 Mar 08, until he quit selling all together, (He had quit selling on his web site, but was still selling until then on E-bay), (As I got One of his last Bars in 2008).
Just My 2 Cents Worth, Thanks,

SORRY!! No the date was Aug 06 2011 not 2006. No I don't think he would not deliver. He past away before I ordered, I need to get my money back if I can and order from some one else or make my own.
I hadn't realized that he had passed away when I had ordered and was waiting to hear from him. Until this thread I had no idea he had passed away. His paypal account is still working though. _________________ Zum D10 |
