Here's a player who's style is recognized as a part of the Nashville Heritage. This guy easily deserves this and tickled to death he now has it. Congrats Russ, and wish you the best.

Russ

It was a great pleasure to see you again, after a gap of four years and to witness the long overdue event of your induction! Your family did you proud with their special presentation, as they did, vocally, beautifully, along with the superb Laney and your brothers, at the 1 a.m.(!) show Friday night. I look forward to seeing you again and hopefully, working with you, at the ISGF in Dublin over the weekend of 15 & 16 October, this year.

Don't forget to phone me Wink !

I did not get to attend the Steel Convention this year and I really wanted too.

Well, I want to say that I too am so happy for Russ and his well deserved award.

He is one of my favorites when it comes to steel playing! I want to add that when he came to play for our small show here at Marshfield, MO in 2008 he was a pro in every way. The people here loved him too!

Finally, I have been a fan of his for over 30 years! I am glad to call him friend and a brother in Christ too!

GOD bless you Russ!
