I have been hesitant to ask this because I know Buddy wants to be left alone. Any of you guys around Nashville seen him lately. Or any one else. I just wonder how he is getting along with his retirement. Sure do miss him.
I hope you are well Buddy.

I've often wondered the same thing Dave, I wouldn't think he'd be hanging around Nashville too much though. Maybe he'll surprise us and jump in on a post sometime or pick up a gig along the way Wink

I believe that if the Everly Brothers were ever to do something that Buddy would probably play the bass with them.

Buddy is doing well and is enjoying his retirement. He likes just hanging around the house...

Tell him I think about him with his every appearance on the radio, or his notes emanate from my music collection, or any of a host of other "Big E" thought triggers happen.

His creative genius will always be tops in my book.

Craig, I asked if he was still into model railroads and he said, "That would be a no."

I know he liked boxing. But, it's too late for him to start boxing for enjoyment! Rolling Eyes I never got around to asking him who he would have picked if Foreman and Holmes would have scheduled a match?

Is there a book in the works? Memoirs?

We all miss his presence.

Very Happy Ernie, So glad to hear Buddy is OK, used to see him often when I was living in Nashville. YEARS AGO, I believe it may have been John Whitehead or a PEAVEY rep that told this story about Buddy, very funny! If I can remember, it seems he was with Buddy at a steel show and afterwards was at the bar and Buddy says without this derby most wouldn't know me. So John, or Paul I believe (whoever) says give me the derby and they put it on. Soon people are coming over for pics and autographs and Buddy is about to fall off the chair.I believe that is how the story was and if it is true, I could see Buddy doing that. He used to come in to Bobbe Seymours on occasion and those two together was about like having Willie Nelson and Roger Miller together, FUNNY. Wishing you and Buddy the best!!!

Thanks, Larry! I'm relatively sure Buddy has said that line a few times. The derby sure turned into his trademark.

Buddy said the funniest story he ever heard to come out of Bobbe’s place was when Gi Gi, (Buddy's ex wife,) worked there. She answered the phone and someone asked, “I’m looking for an old Emmons Original. Do you have any?" Gi Gi said, “I’m Buddy’s ex-wife. Will I do?” Very Happy
