"research showing that a new drug that eliminated tinnitus with a single dose in animal models"
Stormy, I'd like to hear more about this. But it probably shuts off half your brain with that "single dose!" |

I'm cool with that as long as I can keep my reptilian brain. |

I was hoping to free up some memory by forgetting grades 1 through 9, and the last marriage... |

How did they know the animals had tinnitus in the first place?

Mike, the ad on tv is for Lipo Flavanoid.
As Steven Tyler says, does the noise inside my head bother you?

I've had tinnitus for years. I recently was awarded 10% disability from VA since I worked on aircraft for several tears while in the USAF. I have taken the Lipo-Flavinoid for years. It definitely helps. The VA Dr. told me to add B1 each day. It seems to help a little too. While at the drug store looking for something for my wife, the pharmacist suggested I use B Complex instead of B1. I haven't done that yet but intend too. He said it worked for him.
Also, in Toledo, Ohio, the hospital audiology dept is doing extensive research of tinnitus. They have developed a process using music. They have you give them some of your favorite music. After testing you they determine the freq's and embed some stuff in the music. You listen to the music XXX hrs per day and it somehow gets your brain to shut the tinnitus freq'a off. They have about a 90% success rate. They send me stuff couple times a year. I'll post some of it next time I get it. _________________ Whip Lashaway

Whip,
Can you buy the Lipo-Flavinoid over-the-counter? My tinnitus is louder than people speak. |

Thanks Stormy! I have to go to the pharmacy later, so I'll see if they have it. Do you know offhand, which section it would be found in? Supplements? |

Chris!
Somehow the link no longer links to the original article, which was just insane, and completely non-sensical. The author must have used Babblefish or something even worse for the translation. I'm going to try and find the link I intended to post.
Bizarre! That link will take you to one of two articles. Here's an excerpt from the one I was originally referring to;
"Residing a standard life while using seems associated with tinnitus constantly ears buzzing would seem a good impossibility to most tinnitus sufferers. As opposed to the way it's for anyone without tinnitus, there is no avoiding noise by perhaps proceeding and using a basic space or even donning noise decrease earphones. To the tinnitus sufferer that peaceful room only substances the situation. For us getting simply no exterior appear only translates to be able to more internal sound. The calmer it is outside, the particular noisier this gets within. With nothing otherwise to tune in in order to, the focus takes up residence about individuals irritating appears of tinnitus. The harder we stress regarding them the particular even louder these people turn out to be. Interestingly tinnitus relief for many sufferers can be found not simply by supplying tranquility, yet through introducing yet another managing appear. When using a seem vacuum cleaner outside of the sounds regarding tinnitus increase the severity of the situation, could it be in which completing in which vacuum with an exterior appear decreases or perhaps masks those sounds? The answer to this is a qualified indeed. " |
