I just bought the Rickenbacker 508 that was for sale on e-bay. It is in mint condition. The sound is very full and acoustic. I was wondering if this was because of the sound box under each neck, of because of the Rickenbacker horseshoe pickups? I really like the sound of the guitar. I have it tuned to: first neck E13, second neck C6/A7, third neck E7. It has a very deep resonant sound. _________________ Fender Shobud Mustang, Rickenbacker 508 Triple 8 String Steel Guitar |

Dustin, thats the cabinet doing that, its hollow in there.
If it becomes a problem in loud gig situations you can fill with foam, but hopefully you wont have to do that.
They are great guitars I wish I still had mine.

I thought it was because of the sound chamber. My wife and I do a country Duo and we don't have to get too loud, so I shouldn't have a problem. I am just figuring out how to get around the three tunings. We are playing at the Jefferson County Fair here this weekend, but I don't think I will be ready to use it for that gig. I really like the guitar! _________________ Fender Shobud Mustang, Rickenbacker 508 Triple 8 String Steel Guitar |
