My Fostex CR-300 CD recorder is acting squirrely. Does anyone know where I can send it for repairs?

Fostex would be the place to start. They have a list of authorized (independent) repair shops that work on their equipment. I had a Fostex VF160 recorder that developed a problem and contacted them. They referred me to a company in Tampa. However, don't get shocked at the prices to repair the equipment. As I'm an ex amp tech after getting an initial quote, i dug into it myself and luckily fixed the problem. Considering the initial estimate was over half of what I paid for the unit, it would have never been repaired (some switches were intermittent). |
