The commuter train is your best bet, it runs often and will get you within a few blocks of the hotel.

AMTRAC has a commuter train that is cheap, about $3.00 if I remember correctly. It will drop you off right by the Stadium. It's a two block walk to the hotel. The train stops right at the airport. hope this helps. Fred, you beat me by about 10 seconds!!!

St. Louis has a great metro train that runs from the airport to about two blocks from the hotel. You walk out the front door of the airport, across the parking lot to the train stop. Get off at the stadium stop. The cost is, as I recall, about $1.00. But, if you have a lot of luggage and gear, you may want to think of a shuttle.

Like all who have responded, the TRAIN is the easiest and the cheapest. Maybe even the fastest. The Hotel is on the other side of the Stadium from the train station. Maybe 3 blocks. Not a bad walk. Unless of course it is RAINING heavy.

It takes about 35 or 40 minutues from the Airport. The Train station is at the far end of the Airport terminal, follow the signs inside the Airport to the train.

A Taxi cost anywhere from $25 to $35 from the Airport to the Millenium.

good luck

That's right,
Get off at the stadium.
Walk halfway around the stadium, and you'll be looking at a parking garage.
Cut straight thru the parking garage, and you'll be in front of the Millenium hotel.
Pretty simple

We are taking a taxi, definitely! When I land in St. Louis, I'll be biting at the bit to get to the hotel. We've got a 10-hour travel time from Newfoundland to St. Louis. I'll have no patience for anything but a direct ride. Plus, I'll have a pac-seat in tow for Coop.

Can't wait!!!

Shuttle from the airport to the Millennium hotel.

Shuttle pickup: Located at counter M8. It is just to the left of Exit M12. Located by the baggage carosels. Last report I had was the cost was about $24.00 for a round trip ticket. The cab fare for one person is close to $35.00 or more. The Metro Link train is $1.75 and if you have baggage then that 2 block walk from where the train lets you off to the hotel could get rough. See you in St. Louis very soon! Scotty

If you think a cab is faster, it really depends on what time of day. I got on the Metro one Friday evening around 5 pm. and I doubt that any cab could have beat me to the hotel. There was the normal traffic and added to that were the Cardinal baseball fans going in for the game.

Anyway, the Metro is the way to go if you're traveling light.

Buy a 24 hour all day pass for 4 bucks and you can ride the metrolink and buses in St. Louis and even go over to Illinois if you so desire.

I suppose they heard that 5,000 steel players and their families would soon be arriving, so they quickly jacked up the price...

The MetroLink Stadium stop has not changed but the New Busch Stadium is not where the old stadium used to be it's a couple of blocks further south. I understand that the area is cleared where the old stadium used to stand, so you should be able to see the Millenium after exiting the station. If memory serves me, there are several very long and steep stairways to traverse, since the Stadium stop is below ground level.

It is by far the most economical way to get from downtown to the airport and a great ride as well, especially for those of us who are train buffs!

C U in St. Louis have a safe trip.
