Just back from a fun 3 day "tour" in the Bay Area. Saturday in SF a 3 band package played a Slim's. Me with Zoe Muth and the Lost High Rollers opened, then our good friends from Massachusetts, The Eilen Jewell Band and closing it up, Big Sandy and his Fly Right Boys. We've done a number of shows with Eilen and had looked forward to a stage with enough room where I could play steel with them for a few. Eilen has a super guitar player, Jerry Miller (not Moby Grape), and we've come to be good friends over the last year or so. Jerry is close friends with the FRB's and we were both invited up to end up the show with Big Sandy. Tons of fun. Big Sandy (Robert Williams) is really a fine singer and super nice guy. Ashley Kingman picks some great guitar for him.
As much fun as you can have legally.
Wish we had some video. Maybe some will show up on youtube sometime if anybody caught it.

I'm sorry I wasn't able to attend, Dave. I was delivering my son back to Humboldt State for his sophomore year of college. I hope it was a good show!

Can't remember the sound man's name. The monitor man was Kevin. Sound was excellent. Got to play steel with all 3 bands with a great crowd and have a good party with some fine musicians. I'd say a good night. Very Happy
