Yes, Frank Sinatra, Buddy Holly, Vic Damone, Johnny Mathis, Glen Miller; I've played with all of them.
They don't know it, of course. I was watching the television at the time, and playing along.
A pointless exercise ? Not at all. For me, it has two very good purposes:
[1] It's good practice.
[2] It shows how much better they would have sounded with a steel guitar in the band. |

Along those same lines,I've had private lessons from SGF'ers who have sold millions of records! They were sooo patient with me and didn't mind playing the same lick over and over and over again,slow as a glacier. |

I am lucky enough to have been on stage with some of the top notch players.............I wasn't one of them but I did get to pick with them. |
