Well Roger, here's another Thumbs Up for your version, skill, tone, etc., etc.
I believe this is exactly what Bobbe Seymour has written about in many of his "Tips" newsletters..originality, thinking outside the box, and keeping the steel guitar sound fresh and alive. Your version of "Danny Boy" IMHO is superb. Thanks for posting it. |

Its fresh and different and his own interpretation and style and very well played to boot.
The "you tube" thumbs down brigade are a bit.... ney, a lot narrow minded, pedal steel is still strong but new ways around things will keep it going in other directions other than country.
We tend to be very protective of it and want to hear it in only country music, Why ?
Most other instruments are allowed experimentation in all types of music why not the pedal steel guitar ? |
