Al Brisco will be doing a tribute to the "Bakersfield Sound" and Buck Owens as part of his Saint Louis Set.
He'll be playing the classic Ralph Mooney licks, on his early 60s Fender 400.
Members of the South Mountain band, Jay Riehl, Kurk Bernard, and Steve Piticco, will be performing with him.
These guys will be covering the vocals and pickin in a very authentic way, because they all are very influenced by the West Coast style.
Scotty has been kind enough to provide them with a great time slot. Saturday 1:25 PM, just before the awards presentation.
Here's a clip of AL and the Fender he'll be taking to the show:
I wish I could be there. |

I gotta have it. I was doing all the Mooney and Day licks I could in the early 60s on my 400 and 1000. See you all there. |

Al has shipped copies of his
Mooney Style / Bakersfield Steel Instruction DVD,

They'll be available at Billy Phelp's table in the Carter Room.
I still have some available via Paypal here.
