I have 2 pedals with scratchy pots. Anyone in the city proper that has replacements and can do the work?

thanks,

Todd,
Its not very hard to do it yourself. Open up both of them and just do one at a time. Use one for reference as you fix the other one. I have not had much luck with anybody except experienced steel players replacing pots. There are some instructions on the net if you need them. I think Jeff Newman had something up on his site a while back. For pots call up Goodrich or one of the steel shops. The stem can be to long on some standard ones.

You will wish your hands had a couple extra thin fingers that had reverse knuckle action while you work on the pedal.

Todd:

Here's a link to Greg Cutshaw's web site that provides a concise view and instructions for the Goodrich pot replacement. I'm sure there are other places to look, too.

Pot replacement isn't that difficult.

Hey Bob,

I heard you on Shotgun Party's new album. Sounds great. Saw them last week here in Chicago. Wish I could get another lesson with you. Maybe next time I'm in Austin.

I was hoping for a shop. Have a session on Tuesday, and can't order the parts fast enough.
