I am trying to relearn what I thought I knew about playing a steel guitar. I made up this fret chart to help me locate and memorize the notes and chords and thought maybe someone else might like to use it. It could be used for any 6 string tuning so heres the link to the pdf.

Hey, these are handy!
Can you make some for 8 and 10 string?
Thanks.

Sure I could modify them for both 8 and 10, Maybe even for 12?

I ain't ready for 12, yet.
I am building a 10 string, however, and being able to diagram chords on a sheet like this is bound to help shorten my learning curve on it.
I've drawn some blank charts before with a pencil and ruler, then scanned them into the computer, but they weren't nearly as clean and precise as yours.

As requested, I modified the six string layout for both 8 and 10 string.

Thank you very much!
I won't have my 10 string steel put together for a while, but I have been trying to picture some of the future chord possibilities in my head, and with the use of an online system. This will help me visualize patterns easier.
They sure don't call it a fret board for nothin'.

Thank you, Rick! You saved me a ton of work here...especially since my computer and I aren't always on the best of terms. Smile
