I am looking for something to take some sharpness out of the highs on my MCI Range Expander. Brad Sarno's website describes both of the Freeloader and Black Box are capable of that, and enhance overall tone. The Freeloader's description states that is is essentially a transistorized, smaller, more compact and economical version of the Black Box. Is there a significant difference between the two? Are there other units worth consideration?

I have Peavey Nashville 400, 1000, Session 400; Evans FET500 LV, and Fender Twin amps. I am using a Hilton volume pedal. I have used a Digitech RP150 for delay and a little reverb enhancement, and recently bought a Boss delay pedal. Sometimes I just play through the Hilton into the amp. I also have a Goodrich 120. I use GeorgeL cables.

All input for "those in the know" is appreciated.
