I asked about shorter travel last week for my E's. The reason is the threads come thru 3-4 turns on plastic adjustors. no other does this. Any suggestions? Even when I adjust with AB down the threads come thru quite abit. Is this normal on the E's lowering? Thanks for any help. Bob |

Sounds like the pull-rods should be moved a little further out through the changer, so you can screw the tuning-nuts far enough in to cover the threads without touching the changer in neutral.
Should be easy enough to fix, but how depends on type of PSG. Have a brand-/model-name and pictures of the mechanics - specifically the relevant bellcrank area - of your steel? |

As long as the tuners are not slipping, and the lever is working to the corect picth, it should be ok. Non-original rods and tuners might explain why they are different than the others. I have several like that which came on my Fessy. I also made a few replacements and extra rods myself, that came out fine with some new George L tuners. Some nylon tuners are bored all the way thru as a hollow tube. Most have a solid end, which look better, but have a defined limit of adjustment. If the thread of the rod sticks out too far, you can cut and file it down to match the other rods. If the rod length is right, you can always just get some replacement nylon tuners that all look the same. Post a pic if possible.

I will try to post pics. The steel is a 2008 SD Fessy, 3X5. It will take a couple days. Thanks Bob |
