| Bobby I have a 400 with the Lemay modds and I'm thinking of putting the Sica in mine. Was there a notable difference in your sound with the Sica vs the BW. And how so? Thanks Mike |

| Not meaning to hi-jack this thread, but I can tell you the 250 watt SICA sounds more like the older 1502-4 and the 350 watt SICA more like 1501-4SB or JBL tone. Hope that helps! |

| i know nothing about electronics, but this amp has power to spare and a great full deep sound. better than any 400 i have played through. i think everyone should have ken mod thier amp. |

| Ken you can hijack anytime. I am realatively new back into the steel community. I have a Sierra and a remington 8 string lap steel I don't know which speaker I have in the 400 but I have followed a lot of what you all are writing on the speaker topic. I play more of a sacred steel style with a lot of voice and want to get more quality in sound from my 400(LeMay mods) and 1000(Ken Fox mods). |

| Ken I am also trying to reduce the weight of my amps. That about changing the magnets on the BW as well. Any advice is greatly appreciated. |

I have Sica's in my Nashville 400 and an LTD 400 and personally think they sound as good if not better than the BW's that were in them. I think the highs are much zingier (if that's a word) than the BW's though they are lacking low end which can easily be compensated with an amp adjustment. It's well worth it for the lack of weight. I can actually pick up my Nashville 400 now.
