Hey guys, I just got a 2009 Peavey Nashville 112 and I'm looking for some help on dialing in the clean settings. Primarilly I play a Sierra D10 but also play a telecaster. Any helpers out there for an old steeler with a new toy? FYI I've played through a 1990 Evans w/15" for 20 years. I like the low to med volume tones with it. Just had to get something lighter, with smaller speaker, and hopefully something maybe warmer & sweeter.
Yours respectfully, Kenny
Please respond to kenhoward58@att.net.
Thanking you in advance. |

At the St louis steel convention a couple years ago a vender had their 112s set with the presence and mids -15, he said some of the pro players were doing that. I,ve had mine set that way ever since and i do like it alot better. And another tip i saw on the forum was using both inputs with a split cable, works good too, at least i can tell the diff for the better. |

I skip the normal input(s) and run out of my volume-pedal (Steel->Goodrich Steel Driver->Volume pedal or Steel->Hilton VP) right into the NV112's "Pre-Eq Patch" Return jack (I find that gives me a beefier sound, w/less chance of distortion) then use the following:
Low +9 or +10
Mid -6
Mid Freq = 780
High +3
Presence 0
Main Volume on 2-3 at home, maybe louder on stage.
Goodrich Steeldriver volume = 2-3, tone wide-open.
And I usually play with the amp tilted up at me.
