In the Tri-county area of, BROWARD, DADE & WEST PALM BEACH there's a total of about 37 steel players listed by using the Steel Forum's membership roster.
When you do a search of steel players living in the state of 'FLORIDA'using the same roster, there's a total of about 192 players, and another 173 living in the various towns & cities throughout the state of Floirda,(I know one steel player who gives no city or state at all but lives in West Palm, so add him too). This is a total of about 366 members. The "ON LINE STEEL" roster lists about 91 of which 41 are also listed on the Forums membership roster. (Total now is 416 and then add 9 steeler players I know personally who are not listed on any of the steel guitar rosters = 425 steel players in Florida).
So, Tri-County area steel players how are you listed by, state or city???
Something special is coming for steel players living in the, Broward, Dade & West Palm Beach area.So please post where you live in the Tri-County area.

JERRY - The big surprise will be announced very soon, like the Wright brothers first flight, it's on the runway warming up, being fueled and waiting for the wind to change.
The problem I have right now is the actual number of steel players living in my area, I counted 37 on the forum membership list but it seems when a new steel player signs up, only his state is listed, i.e. FLORIDA. I'm hoping that all 37 still live in my area.
So, all steel players living in the TRI-COUNTY AREA if you are listed by state, "FLORIDA" then post what city you reside in the Tri-County area.
CHRIS - I know you live in Miami & I know Mr. Lewis is in Miramira. You'll hear from us.
By the way JERRY, what city are you residing in, if I may ask?

Ken,
I a few years I plan to retire down there in Florida, probably in the central Florida area. Been going down every winter for the past 9 or 10 years. Some real nice guys down there in the Steel Guitar brotherhood like Jack Dougherty, Ernie Cawby, Jack Stoner, Fred Thompson, Don Sulesky, Jim Price, John King, and lots of others. It's a Steel Picker's Paradise. . . . .Nick |
