a very weird pickup seen on a rick B6...

I'm no 'rick wizard', but that appears to be a 10-string Lawrence 705 pedal steel guitar pickup with the chrome surrounds. I love that pickup on a pedal steel, but it is, IMHO, completely out of place on a B6. And for $1800? Yikes.

It's much more a poor bowdlerization than a find. That's not the original pickup, so it's really overpriced for what it is.

I fired off a few questions to the seller, to his credit he answered quickly. The tuners have been replaced, frankenworked pickup, wrong knob on the volume and the bright pans have been sanded a flat finish. There was no need to question their pricing, but, he said they would take an offer!!?? What people will try?

The pickup is NOT a Rickenbacher pickeup! I have a B6 and a B10 (looking for a B Cool

and a Shot Jackson Jerry Byrd frypan. The latter has a fake Rick pickup - the bars are for show. I was SO disappointed when I found it out!
