One boneheaded thing to do when you're about to move is buy a guitar. But this one's so cool I just had to pull the trigger. It's a 1930's Supertone Hawaiian guitar, made by one of the Chicago makers (probably Regal). MOTS fingerboard and pickguard, nice decals of a Hawaiian boy playing guitar and a (thankfully covered) Hawaiian woman enjoying the sunset. Although it's got a V-shaped neck, it clear it was made to play lap-style with a bar.
After I took these pictures, I threw on a set of 11-50 flatwound strings (all I had around the apt). It sounds a lot like my squareneck Oahu. Lots and lots of fun, that's for sure!

Stunning! I'm very jealous! How about a pic of the headstock and nut area? Front, and side. |

Off the top of my head as I understand things...
Supertone was Sears' brand and at that time, they owned Harmony. The F-32 stamp likely means 1932. _________________ "Gopher, Everett?"

From what I have seen on Harmony made guitars I think it stands for Fall of 1932. |
