I want to start referencing Hawaiian chord charts for as many of the popular songs as possible. Found a ukulele web site that posted 13 songs. Have used chordie.com, but very limited on Hawaiian. The internet lists new books with 20 or more songs & ebay has the same listing of used books. Just wondered if anyone has other ideas on this. Thanks.

He Mele Aloha has 260 songs, including 40 "hapa haole" songs.
Jumpin' Jim's Gone Hawaiian is a good songbook with many standards.
There are many such older songbooks available through eBay and your local used bookstore. Look for "King's Book of Hawaiian Melodies", either the green or blue cover, for an example.

He Mele Aloha is a good book for Hawaiian songs especially for ukelele. I like the hapa haole songs the best. There is a lot of songs to keep you busy for a while!

Mr. Ian Chadwick has collected and scanned a lot of vintage ukelele song books.

For a low price you can buy a DVD with 2000 songs in pdf format.

There is also some free samples on the Collection page

Check out

Hawaiian Ukulele: The Early Methods
Centerbrook Publishing. 1998

ISBN 1-57424-052-8
It's 416 pages of reprinted ukulele method books.
http://www.elderly.com/books/items/283-5.htm

Also Google has digitized The Aloha Collection of Hawaiian Songs edited and arranged by Charles A.Hopkins. It's all standard notation but it's a freely available pdf file.
