You guys are fast! You've booked 'em all up. I thought I had plenty of time to get a room at the Millenimun. BUT NO! TOO LATE! Ok, so I'm at the Drury down the street, but no view of the arch. Probably have a nice view of the alley or somethin'.
I'm lucky to get that I suppose. Next year I gotta plan ahead. |

Usually by April the Convention rooms are sold out. You have to book early.
I used to live in KCMO and sometimes I'd just drive over for the day. It makes a long day but no hotel hassles. |

| Jack. Last time I went to the convention I did the same thing. Drove out first thing sat. morning. After Joe Wright's set I started for home. That was just too much. By the end of that trip I was using both lanes of I-70. This year I'll be smarter and spend the night. |

The Drury Hotel, across the street from the Millineum hotel may have rooms. Ask for the ISGC rate, which is about $85.

I am flying in from Europe, so I guess half a block is not a big problem.

Millenimum, and I cancelled it just two days ago.Try the Holiday Inn it's ok. |

You can sleep on the floor of my Millennium hotel room for a paltry $30 a night. I have one Queen size bed, and I won't be sharing it with another hairy-arse steel player.
And bring your own pillow.......... |

Just got off the phone with the Drury - no rooms available
Did you ask for the ISGC block? As of Tuesday there were still 150 rooms available for the ISGC.
Other hotels in the area are the Radisson and the Adams Mark. But they don't have the ISGC special rate.

I have two single rooms on reservation at the Millenium. I may only need one, I will know in about a week.

As of now, the extra room is spoken for by one of two forum members who have contacted me.

| In the past I've stayed at the Day's Inn at the airport. The rates are cheaper, and you can take the commuter train to town for the day. The only inconvenience is having to take a shuttle bus from the airport to the hotel, which is only right across the street (I-70). |

It is not as handy as being there at the show site, but you can drive west to the airport, and find many motels.Also you can go east across into Illinois, around Bellville, and find many motels..
It is about 15 to 18 miles for either trip...traffic going out at late night, would be minimal...coming in, in the morning would be jammed, except Saturday and Sunday, which would be light...
Either way, it would be better than missing the show...

I wouldn't hesitate to stay at either the Drury or the Adams Mark.....I rate them both better than the Millenium anyway!
The Drury is directly next door to the Millenium.....it's like about 25 yards away.
The Adams Mark is about a block away....and has a great buffet. |

ONe place that may have rooms available is the Casino Queen on the east side, there is a metro limk terminal right there.
At the present time there is a lot of construction on the Poplar Street Bridge, lane closures with long delays at morning and evening rush hours, so much that the Madison County Transit busses are taking people to a metrolink terminal and not going to St Louis during rush periods.
