Billy - you are the "steel guitar whisperer".

I took my 3 steels over to Billy's Sunday afternoon and in no time he had fixed a KL binding problem on my P/P along with fitting the other knees to fit me better, plus tweaking some other playing issues - then put a new KL on my LLII, then took a look at my old Bud permanent and mapped out a strategy on getting that into A1 playing shape - all in an afternoons work.

Billy also has THE smoothest playing P/P I've ever sat behind - I had always heard you could make a P/P play as smooth as an all-pull and that guitar proved it - amazing.

I cant recommend his services / quality of work enough - if you need anything Emmons related, from set-up, restoration, to a brand NEW one (yes, i was shocked too!) - he's the man to call.

Billy is the man. I have 2 P/P's that Billy restored for me. They play as smooth or smoother than both the Legrande's that I have.I wouldn't even think about someone else working on my guitars. He's also the nicest guy you will ever meet.

Billy has always been a pleasure to work with and truely is a man of his word. Went through several conversations on putting extra knee levers on my guitar ,he was there every step of the way. Always ships quickly and is fair in his pricing. If you need parts, HE IS THE MAN!!!!

I really feel blessed to have Billy Knowles as a very trustworthy friend. He's truly one of the nicest and most talented guys that I know.

Edited to also congratulate Billy's customer, Jerry Williford on receiving his new Emmons! I'm sure you'll enjoy it for years, Jerry.

Jerry looks great behind that LeGrande III. Knowing that my friend Billy made final adjustments on it makes it all the better, as his skill in working on Emmons guitars is outstanding. There's nobody better in this neck of the woods than Billy Knowles.
