Sunday, 7/10/11 Siloam Springs, Ar. Steel Guitar Club July Jam
Short on attendance but long--very long -- on warmth and fun. The thrmometer in my Cherokee as I entered Siloam around 12:30 reminded me it was a toasty 106 degrees outside and no it doesn't bear false witness !!!!
Comfortable inside however and even though we missed several being there , it was a fun afternoon to say the least.
A special thanks to David Starr's grandson Brandon, for helping taking pictures. We missed Vitgil Pittman being there, keep him in your prayers for recovery from health problems please.
Madam Pres-and great vocalist and bass player--Norma Jean Lucas
Donley Harrington great vocalist and humorist extra ordinaire
David Starr
Larry Garrett
It's a humble gift to laugh at your own playing !!
Gerald Sparks
"I'll drink to that, David"
"Well ok, then I'll drink to this" !
It says here not to weld your pedals all together---hmmm
"Now Larry, see this button marked "eject" ?? Don't ever mess with it " !!
Myrick at his best ----
Like a dummy, I bet Brandon a quart of chocolate milk he couldn't ride a whellie in his grandmother's chair, clear across the floor. Modern day kids, live and learn old man. --

Bill it's 102 in Siloam at noon! Although the attendance was low we did have a lot of fun and good music. David did a good job on piano and vocals. We are so glad to have you in our club, you do so much and thank you just doesn't seem enough. Keep that smile and learn these kids can do everything that we use to do! I almost forgot, thanks for the Pictures For Memories album. |
