Heading back to Beijing August 14th. Near-mint white, Millennium carbon fiber, 2002 model with Emmons set-up 8 & 7 and is 1" above standard height. Reece Anderson at MSA can shorten the legs and rods if need be. This MSA has been kept in superb condition and these fiber bodied MSA's are no longer being made due to the cost of the material.

Includes the George L's Tommy White pickups, comes with a Texas wheeled road case in mint shape. The MSA is mechanically perfect. It does have a few scratches but they are hard to see. This is indeed, a very high precision pedal steel. Like the Sierra, it has interchangeable pickups options. You choose your pickup and slide it into the pickup slot. EASY; it takes a few seconds only!!! This steel is relatively light weight (62 lbs. in wheeled flight case), has convenient to use pedal height adjusters, well-designed precision mechanics, and split tuning on EVERY string. There is definite string separation and good sustain.

Someone asked about the pedal height adjusters. In the underside photos below, they are the small discs at the ends of the pedal rods nearest the guitar body. You turn them to the adjust the height of the pedals so they moves up or down. Very convenient.

The third photo shows the solid mint condition Texas wheeled case. Glad to answer any questions if you need information.
$3325 and you pay shipping/insurance from Fargo, North Dakota.

E9 copedant is same as Emmons found here:

http://b0b.com/tunings/stars.html#E9be

except no string 2 change but string 1 raises F# to G#

C6 is also Emmons setup found on same link (scroll down to Buddy Emmons C6) except PEDAL 8 does not have change on string 1 and the levers are different:

LKL string 3 C to C#
LKV string 4 A to Ab
RKL string 4 A TO Bb
RKR string 3 C to B

Check the MSA website for more on the Millennium model. It is my understanding, and that of several other members who have written about it here, these guitars are no longer being made due to the high cost of carbon-fiber. Thanks, stevet

Thanks a lot, David. Does your new MSA have the same type of undercarriage as the Millenniums?

Mike, I'm sorry, I actually answered your email June 27th but sent it to the wrong address, the address of a friend of mine. I will forward that email now.

Thanks, David, I thought the undercarriage on our steels was basically the same. This steel is very smooth but the pedals offer slightly more resistance than a Zumsteel or Mullen. At least that is the case with my MSA. One knows the pedals are there.

David, Yep, you guessed it; back to Beijing early August. If the Milly does not sell, I may bring it with me. Hope to catch you around Christmas if you are in Thailand for a few weeks then.

If you wish, you can have the legs and 8 rods reconfigured for normal height by Reece at MSA. Got that straight from the man himself.

Leaving the USA Thursday so this will be hibernating until next June. One never knows, but in all likelihood, I will keep it since the Millennium carbon fiber bodies are no longer being made. I thought there was a three year wait, but this is not the case. Thanks to all who inquired and to David Wright and Reece for answering my questions. stevet
