Up for sale is a late '60s Kapa 500 archtop electric guitar. Kapa guitars were built from imported parts and assembled in Maryland; they weren't expensive, but they were definitely a step up in quality, playability and sound from budget brands like Harmony and Kay.

This model features the same pickups that were used on mid-'60s Hofners. They're small humbuckers with incredible tone and strong output. The guitar is in excellent condition, with only a few light scratches. It is 100% original, including the Bigsby tailpiece, and plays perfectly all the way up the neck. The pots are slightly scratchy, but otherwise the electronics work exactly as they should. Alas, I have no case for it, but it will be packed very securely.

Price: $475 shipped/paypalled. Take off $50 for cash on pickup.

I'd also consider trades (+/- cash if necessary) for a vintage lap steel, a Mutron Octave Divider, a standalone spring reverb unit (not Fender or clone!), or other weird vintage effects. I might also consider a vintage head, especially a Univox- or Valco-built amp, but I'm not looking to add a whole lot of cash to the deal.

I could also use a tremolo pedal. Something with a smooth sine wave.
