Amen, Doug!
My latest band liked what they heard when I used that setting, and subsequently I walked onstage at our first gig (opening for Dave Alvin!), sat down, and played some "cathedral organ" before the band came on we rocked out from there. One of the sound men said he looked around, trying to figure out who was playing a keyboard, knowing we didn't have one!
That's one pedal I definitely need to fully explore and exploit. Seems to work best without slides, although a sliding organ is rather psychedelic! _________________ 1979 MSA U12 Pedal Steel

Thanks Daniel, I'm enjoying this new toy! Can't wait to use it on a gig.
In answer to a couple of inquiries:
The POG2 produces two octaves Below the original note(s) and two octaves Above the original note(s). So five octaves may be heard in all (including the original sound).
There are sliders to control the output level of each octave. There is also a slider to Detune the upper two octaves, and a couple of other effect sliders.
In the video I'm using four octaves (including the original sound).
* a small amount of the original sound
* none of the -2 octave
* about 60% of the -1 octave
* about 60% of the +1 octave
* about 50% of the +2 octave
* 100% "detune"
Those are the approximate settings suggested on the electro-harmonix web site. _________________ My Site / My YouTube Channel

This does seem kinda' useful. How much do they cost?
I can generally get a pretty deep discount on the price of anything I buy. I have a friend who owns a very large music store. I buy alot of stuff from him and I'd say he gives me a good price. Tommy....... |

Doug: Thanks for posting those settings. That got me started okay. Could you please tell me more about the other controls? The faders on the right half, and those two buttons in the middle. You have found a real good setting to get the organ sound. I'm not doing something quite right. It sounds pretty cool, and then I'll get some crazy notes that don't even make musical sense. Maybe you can help, I hope....
Thanks in advance. Tommy....... |
