Hi,

I know there are a lot of tuning charts out there, but maybe this new one I put together might help someone.

part of your settings seem reasonable to me, but not all. everyone should be aware that every steel has it's own personalty. once you coax a steel into 'as close as you can get' by ear and in reference to whomever you play with, you should write down the settings for 'your' steel.

I did not mean this as a do all fix all chart. Only a point to start with. I am sure we all know that every steel is different, has different cabinet drop and could have different size strings. There are also many copedents from which to choose. No chart ever made could be 100% correct for 100% of the steel guitars. If the chart does not seem reasonable for you, or your steel, then you should not use it. Again, it is only a place to start.

I put together the chart from many different tuning charts I have reviewed. These are not settings from any one steel, and they will not work for everyone.

I thought it might be better than nothing to help someone get started and to show that not all tuning hz have to be 440.

I would also recomend to everyone that they use a tuner. There are very few people who think they have perfect pitch and even fewer that do.
