Neck pocket dated 11/27/1951..

Guitar has obviously been played over the last 60 years, but sounds great. Both pickups were checked out by John Brown at Browns Guitar Factory. One is original, one was rewound to match.. both sound great.

3 way switch, one pot, knobs, etc. all original. Switch tip and one pot changed. Legs are original and lock well. Tuned to c6 in front and e13 in back..

Various scrapes etc.

Case is a crappy homemade job, but works to protect guitar. I understand that the Odyssey 39 key keyboard case fits well ($149 at several places)

$875 for one of the first Dual 8's, buyer pays shipping. $900 with Paypal... no trades please unless you want to take this as partial trade toward a fairly recent higher end Universal 12.. (Mullen, Williams, etc)

I am going to try and enter the world of pedal steel!

My timing is the worst! Unfortunately just bought one off ebay. I would much rather of bought it off the forum. Son of a b*&@!. Good luck with your sale they are great guitars and that is a very fair price.

Hi Hal, I am a want to be non pedal guitar player and have been told that a double neck 8 string is the best one for the kind of music I want to play which is straight older country ballads and fast older country along with western swing and big band type music.

I have inquired about this guitar over in the "non pedal steel section and made sure to tell them I only wanted to know if this is the right guitar for me and specifically asked them not to critique the guitar itself nor the seller "-) I am so new to this that I need all the help I can get :-P)

I would also be interested in your thoughts on whether you think this is a good starter for me considering the music I want to play. I've been playing guitar for over 30 years so I might have a small advantage over a complete new starter
. thanks

Bob Martin
