I haven't heard anything out of Fred Layman for a while and his Flynn Steel Guitar web site seems to be down, or at least I can't call it up. Anyone have any info?

He's moved out closer to you. I THINK he's in Springfield, MO. There are several posts from him inthe last couple of weeks giving Email and address.

Ron, THANKS a bunch. I appreciate it. I was kinda shocked at hearing he was moving, but in his own words about having family in the Springfield area tells the story. I'm thinking if he moves all the Flynn & Rusler psg parts, etc., that could be quite a chore. Thanks again.

Larry;
I have heard that Fred has sold his entire parts inventory before he moved.
You may want to ask him about this...Ron

If he left the Rusler parts, who might have them now?

Fred Layman has the best "Chord Progression Studies for the Pedal Steel Guitar" that I have come across.

Is there any way to get this book today? This book was produced with Jeff Newman and I remember his articles in the Pedal Steel Guitarist. He was really talking in layman's terms... I've seen the LP record that came with it offered on Amazon but not the book. I'd be much interested in this book and I know that as of July 2005, he was selling it directly. Is it still the case?

Thanks,

ayp

Fred's a forum member. Maybe look up his info on the memberlist and contact him directly. He can probably point you to a source.

"Chord Progression Studies for the Pedal Steel Guitar"

It was a happy day a year ago when I found my lost copy of this that I had misfiled in my rather unworkable filing system. The tape was there too... yeah!
