Some time ago I ran across a reference to some one who made custom cases for Lap Steels. It even showed pictures and gave you a choice of coverings. I think it was here on the Forum. It may have been in a reference in another topic being discussed. What I remember is the price was about $200 to $250. and all they needed was the measurments on the guitar. I think the higher price was if you wanted a compartment in the case for the legs. When you clean your desk always read before you shread.

Kevin Hatton makes cases for just about any guitar.
He made me some very nice cases for console and lap steels.

Thank you Steve, that is who I was looking for. By the way, Still enjoying your Melbert Pro 8. I know it's a dumb question. I'm sending mine back to Bob to have a new bridge installed like the one on your Pro 8.

Thank you also Erv. Wish you would do some Tab for Lap Steels. Some Old stuff, 40's & 50's
