I have been seriously playing PSG for a little over a year and thought I'd share my band's latest record. I started on a good ole maverick and was quickly frustrated by it's lack of changes (although its humbling to see what some can do on one!) so I upgraded to a Desert Rose S10 with 3 pedals and 5 knee levers in time to record the record.

If interested, you can listen to our stuff at www.thecitylines.com. My playing is heavily displayed on stuart, run like hell, nervous wreck and as I go but there is PSG sprinkled into every song.

I am super proud of the record because it was done in my home studio and it's the first time I got to record PSG. The parts and playing are super simple but I am very happy with the outcome.

We are based in Fort Lauderdale, Fl and are starting to play some shows in the area so if there are any other local players in the area I'd love to meet you!

Thanks for reading and listening!

Thanks for the nice comments and encouragement guys!

We are defintely going for the alt country vibe and I am totally digging Ray Lamontagne's stuff at the moment.

It's funny because some of the first pedal steel stuff I was exposed to was on Matthew Sweets 100% Fun. I then went on a music buying binge and got Robert Plant's/Allison Kraus' Raising Sand, The Crazy Heart Soundtrack and Ray Lamontagne's God Willing Record. I bought into all this stuff among others and realized Greg Leize is sprinkled throughout the non-traditional country music scene. He definitely has become a major influence.

I'd love to learn some more traditional country stuff but I feel like I need to sit down with others who play in person. If any of you local folks are willing, I'd love to pick your brains.

Matthew, I am located in Coral Springs (North Broward County) and we are starting to play all throughout South FL right now.

Thanks!

Chris,

Not to hijack your thread but I will be playing this Friday night in Davie, FL. If you are free come on out to the Texas Rose Saloon. It will be all Classic Country.

Would love to meet you.
