At $1200 it would be a better price, because it will cost at least $200 for new legs.

Will I'don't know about extending the legs, still unsure of that color on the front,if it's a reflection that is ok but it looks more like the color of a set of drums, too colorful for a pedal steel draws too much attention

Ed, are you generally this rude, or is this a special occasion?

This Front Apron is a factory option. A sort of blue swirl mica like the finish on some drums. But for sure it was like this form Carter. Saw one like it at the Dallas Show three years ago.

Seems like a good price to me. For the right steeler, the -1 legs would save $200.

Sorry Ken I'm a straight shooter and tell it like it is,it's still a nice steel even with the swirl apron .I like black mica, rosewood and colors that are not too loud, that blue top is nice on that Carter

Well, I must say the color suits me to a Tee. Smile
If I had the money, I would have bought it when
I first saw it, even tho I already have 2 steels.
The Carters were my favorite steels untill I had
my accident, and like a fool I sold mine because
I didn't think I could ever play again. Sad I wish I
could've found one when I started to learn again.
Changing the legs and pedal rods is not a big deal.
My steels both are 1" lower and everyone that has
played them like them and said they felt very good.
This is probably the best deal going right now.
Carl

$1200.00 is too cheap for that guitar. It is priced just about where it's value meets the price. These Carters are very good guitars and someone is gonna get a nice one here.

I spent 100.00 having it re-rodded to an Emmons set up by Big Jim Smith and spent another 2 weeks getting the changer cleaned which stuck and didn't release, which had to be removed and soaked for days and days. Finally got everything working like it should.
Pedal bar looked like it was dragged behind a truck..ha ha..took a few days of sanding and polishing to repair...same with the end plates and neck...
Price was a reflection of the condition it was in. If it seems to good to be true...well..you know...
