I recently bought this BMI steel for a tour in the UK. I put 2 new knee levers in on the right side, and got a new pelican case for it. The total weight of the steel in the case is under 40 pounds - plus there are wheels on the case. This is a great travel guitar - or rehearsal guitar - or first pedal steel (its identical to my first steel)

It's got a standard emmons setup for ABC pedals. LKL raises E on 7, LKR lowers both E's, RKL lowers B on 6, RKR Lowers D# and D and has the double stop for the D#. The guitar holds tune and plays very well - I was able to kick a little butt on this thing and I usually play a top of the line Rains.

There are some signatures scratched into the head end. It has a George L pickup.

I'm asking $1400 because thats exactly what I've got into it. I have two steels already and no plans on returning to the UK in the foreseeable future - rather see it played than sit in my room.

1700

I cut the foam and hot glued it to hold it in place. Seems to hold an S10 steel pretty well. You can get the case on amazon for under $200 shipped with foam.

I want to vouch for Tim. You won't go wrong dealing with him. Plus those BMI's are great sounding steels. Full and strong.

Nope - no Franklin pedal, and c doesn't lower 10 like my rains.

This is kind of a bare minimum steel for me. Just the basics, but it plays well and is extremely easy to travel with.

I was able to play everything I usually play with my band on this steel. That should give you some indication of how playable it is.

gonna make one tonight for you. I have been busy with rehearsals - I used the BMI last night! I may regret selling it.

Also, I should mention that $1400 includes shipping

ok - here is a quick little demo of the steel. Not my finest work, but it gives you a good idea of what the steel can sound like. Signal path is: BMI-Goodrich Pedal-Holy Grail-Amp (not the Pedal Steel Amp, unfortunately - just a tweed deluxe)
