That thing sounds fantastic. The computer speakers give you a taste but wait til you actually hear one in the room. Awesome is right! |

That is a beautiful sound. A lot of rich overtones. Very impressive--I think it sounds better than the originals. Great work, Jason. _________________ Links to streaming music, websites, YouTube: Links |

Hey Orville,
Loved the demo so much I'm gonna have to put one of those on my Recording King "experiment" lap steel guitar. I have changed out the tuning machines, bridge, and nut hardware, and have been considering changing out the tone and volume pots. Do you have any recommendations for pots that will compliment that Lollar pickup? _________________ www.stoneslides.com is my Paloma Tone Bar and Bottleneck Slide web site

Jay, I think I'd go with Jason's recommendations (noted in Tom's post). I'm sure he knows best how to get the maximum sound out of his pickups. |

Yes, that demo sounded really great, but then those Fender Tweed Deluxe amps are monsters and the blues tones you can get out of 'em are legendary.
To get a more accurate idea of the sound I'd also like to hear the same guitar played through a more common amp like a Fender DRRI/TRRI or a Fender Blues Jr./Hotrod Deluxe.
Just a thought! _________________ Primitive Utility Steel |

There are more videos to be posted and I think we did use some other amps. It's been awhile since we filmed and I don't recall exactly but stay tuned. |

thanks everyone- we recorded that when- over a year ago??? There are a couple more vids with Orville playing two or three more pickups coming out and then Orville plays all of the pickups clean through a princeton reverb with a 12 inch speaker which is pretty close to a Deluxe Reverb.
Thanks Orville |
