Just recieved My MB 500 and wow!! It is incredible to say the least!! I also have the MB 200 and I am returning it to get a second 500. Just wondering if anyone out there knows what the screw thread is for the rack mount ears?? I am mounting the amp in an amplifier case in the existing hole, fits just right! Tried the amp with the Black Widow 1203-4 and an 8 ohm Jbl and both sound great.. The JBL has the edge I think.

Dale, is this the 500 fusion model (black) with (3) tube preamp or the (silver)500 bass amp? Wanting to hear of reviews with the fusion tube.

Dale, I can't remember the size, but found them at Ace Hardware, if you have those up there.

I didn't want to buy the rack ears just for the screws but I will look at our hardware store tomorrow. Thanks

Michael,

I could be wrong, but it's my understanding that rack ears (manufactured by GK) are only available for the 500 series amps.

The one rack space trays are an option for the MB200 and I've heard of a few people making their own rack ears. I think Tommy Huff might have created some.

There are threaded holes on the front sides on the MB200 that I think will accommodate the mounting of rack ears.

Can't explain why they're not available from GK Confused

I bought some corner mounts and just going to mount the amp in the hole of an old peavey enclosure bandit 112. I picked up just like new and it fits just fine so when the screws come in I am good to go. Just my thoughts.
