Ok guys, here's a great deal on a fine guitar. It was a D-12 MSA Vintage XL model. I removed the C6th hardware and converted it to a S-12D w/3 & 4. Removed the changer from the E9th neck, completely cleaned and reassembled. Lubed. Finely tuned. Replaced the original pu with a new E66 pu. Wired directly to the jack. Fretboard, logo and inlay are all silkscreened. Guitar is jet black lacquer. Plays like a dream and is not nearly as heavy as it was when a D-12. Case is original and is probably an 8 to 9, I'd say. Guitar will come with a custom cover I ordered for it from Sharp Covers in Nashville. Black vinyl with red trim(tubing). Very nice. Pad is covered in dark grey vinyl. Places where the hardware was removed have been filled and coated with 3 coats of clear lacquer. The #7 tuning key has been replaced, as it was stripped. I sold some of the hardware but still have a lot of it left. Cross shafts, knee levers, assorted parts, etc. Changer was traded for the new E66 pu. All available leftover parts will be packaged and shipped with the guitar. Will use Fed-Ex. for shipping. This is a pretty guitar, plays smooth and has not broke a string yet. Emailed Reese Anderson, he said it was probably an early 82' model. Bud Carter built guitar. Still has the BC sticker underneath. My camera doesn't work with my computer right now, so I don't have any pics available at this time. Guitar will be ready to play when the new owner gets it. Just set it up and go. I prefer a cashiers check as payment. Buyer will get free shipping also. First come, first serve. I need to move it to make room for a S-12U Excel, I'm picking up tomorrow. And yes, this is the correct price on the babe. 1300.00 or 900.00 plus a clean used NV-112 amp. Sales final. Thanks. Email me for further info. |
