Hey Earl..so nice to finally meet you a while ago at Long Hollow Jambourie !
Just I recieved a personal call on Smileys Cell phone inviting us along from Jan Jones.....he was in Texas at the time....how nice.....it was a pleasure to see Weldon again..and to have a beer out the back with you and Jan
It was guys like you..Joe Diamond.of course Smiley.Marsha and Rick...and all the great Steel Players in Nashville..that have made us want to come back there,,,,,,we are made to feel so welcome by you guys......cant wait to come back again !!!!!

ixnay on the eerbay out back it's a secret LOL! Just kidding they've been drinking a cold one between sets out back for over 20 years. I use to have a cold one once in a while myself as well.
The good thing about it is the breaks are short so you can't do much damage in 10 mins and there's only 3 breaks everyone always has a great time fellowshipping out back. The stories I've heard and told out there would fill a book!

A friend of mine will be visiting The Long Hollow Jamboree this Sat. You guys that play there might want to let him get up and sing some. His name is Tom Smith. He's a real good singer and a real nice guy. He's also a friend of Big George Edwards and Les Severs. |
