I have this Johnson squareneck reso that's been upgraded for sale:

When I got this guitar a couple of months ago the cone was collapsed, one of the cheap tuners was already stripped out and the nut was too low to my liking. So I replaced the original plastic nut with a taller corian nut, replaced the original tuners with good quality tulip head tuners, replaced the collapsed cone with a good quality import, leveled the feet on the spider and adjusted the bridge inserts to bring the strings parallel with the fretboard. I also added a piezo disc "pickup" to the underside of the cone, right under the lip so it's near the cone ledge and put in a tail-end jack.

I've been playing this for a couple months and in my opinion it's a mighty good reso, plugged or unplugged.

I didn't realize it until I took it apart to replace the cone, but this Johnson is designed with an "open" soundwell design, has a wider opening in it.

The guitar fits perfectly in a TKL Pro-Form II 8500-series Guitar Case, which I will sell with the guitar ($395).

The Pro-Form Case is TKL's light-weight molded case series. It features a black charcoal molded exterior, injected foam insulation, plush lining, heavy duty hardware, and large stash compartment. The foam insulation provides thermal protection from cold and heat.

Both the guitar and the case are used and have a few minor bumps and scratches, but nothing major.

I'm looking for $395 for the guitar and case, plus shipping. Will sell guitar alone for $350. With all the upgrades, that should be a good deal. Paypal, money order, check, cash are all good.
