I bought a Tri-State lap steel a few months ago, it plays great, looks like something from the '40's except the pickup is a humbucker, looks like it was added later. Has anyone ever seen one, or know anything about them? Could be a Kay or one of the low-end brands, but the headstock is birds-eye maple and the body, at least the top of it looks like curly maple, so I'm happy with it. Got it tuned to C6th.
