Well, with a few exceptions, I think it was a great Birthday party and jam. At last count there were 327 people showed up. One of the exceptions that caused a bit of concern and confusion right off the bat (along with a fair amount of swearing, cussin' and wondering what the heck was going on, or more, the lack of what not was going on), was that the sound support people were about an hour and a half late getting there due to a lack of proper communidcation with the club management
However, the crowd and musicians were as patient and understanding as you could possibly imagine, except for me and a couple of the other organizers. We were absolutely livid about it.
However, looking back at it, it gave the folks there a chance to really do a lot of visiting and catching up on things with each other.
Once the jam actually started, it was a blast from then on. I'd never remember all of the performers so I'll just say a big and huge THANK YOU to all. It'll be a day I'll remember and be thankful of for the rest of my life.
I owe a sincere apology to at least four of my good friends for not getting them on stage,,,,Raymond Beale, John "Bubba" Gould, Bobby Dixon and David Farenthold as well as a lady that had to leave early and I can't remember her name right now.
I'm probably leaving someone out, so I apologize for that too.
Many thanks and lot's of love to each of you for your cards, emails, phone calls, well wishes and attendence,,,,and most of all,,,, for your friendship through these many years,,,,75.
Thanks again and may God bless, Cool Cool Very Happy Very Happy
BB

I did get Julie to add some pics on your earlier post. It was a good time for all that got to be there!!! It was a great honor to get to be with that crowd!!!!!!!!!!! Some great pickers and singers!!! Sorry I had to leave early, but a 6 hour drive and being at work at 7:00 am Monday made it a short day!! This workin' is sure interfering with my pickin'!!!!!!!!!! Hope you enjoy the pics!! Love ya man!!!!!

No need to apologize to me Bobby! I was just happy to be there and be a part of celebrating your birthday.
Seeing the turn out made me proud to know you and be able to call you my friend! Hope you have many more birthdays to come and play as good as you want to for all those years.

Bobby,

I sure wish I could have been there to wish you a
Happy Birthday in person but it sounds like I would
have had a hard time getting through the crowd.

Glad you had a great time and I hope you have many, many more. I'll be looking for you in the "chat room"

Your Oregon buddy,

David

Hey Bobby ,
Sorry, Elaine and I missed your birthday party , we had folks come in .
I heard you 'all had a blast .I was prepared to sing
happy birthday to you , but most likely you didn't want to hear it anyway , because you heard that song sooooo many times before.
Bobby keep on enjoying those bithdays , but don't try
to catch up with me . ha ha
