Just got in 250 more chips and have kits ready to go. Check out the DIY kits on our website.

http://foxvintageamps.com/classic_green_006.htm

We do not know for sure that all the new amps have or do not have chips sockets, best way to tell is to set the amp on its side and release the chassis for a peek inside at the preamp board (the one with the tone and volune controls). We cannot tell by date of manufacture or serial number, sorry!

Kits for N-400, Vegas 400, Profex and other battery-less mods are on the website

I would need a close up of the small circuit board to see if the chips are in sockets

I saved the pic and enlarged it. It does looks like it has the sockets for easy chip removal.

Anyway, if it appears to be "sitting" in a black box with the pins inside, you will know that it is removable.

Having Ken modify all my Peaveys has been the best investment I've made since the Telonics pedal.
My Nashville and Vegas amps NEVER sounded better....Keep up the good work Ken, and here's a bump to the top!

Same chips as we use in the N112 and all other Peavey mods. Just a better sounding audio chip than the stock chips.
