I have a case that has a broken handle and a broken latch. These cases are a nightmare and far bigger than seems necessary. I was planning to get a new case made or buy something else. Any case that works at all will probably work better than an original MSA case from that era. I could sell you this one for $40 + shipping, because I would motivate me to get something else finally. I was planning to hit up some of the case builders here on the forum at some point to see who can get me the best value. I know Kevin Hatton and Fred Justice and few others can make nice custom cases.
