I have an old shobud seat. Its pretty old and its looking rough. I have to buy it this week to insure that it ships before a high profile gig. I've checked out the steelseat.com and the walker site. What are some other brands i should consider? I would also be interested in a used seat, i just don't have time to shop around too much. I also checked out the PSG seat on ebay. I'm interested in some advice on which seat to buy.

Bruce, I don't think you'd go wrong with one of Ray Walker's seats. I've had mine about 7 years now and gig out a lot and it's as solid as the day I bought it. Ray's in Smithfield, NC......JH in Va.

My steeler's choice seat arrived very quickly. I got the sidekick with the backrest. I would have ordered it 2 years ago if i knew it would make my life this much easier. I played 3 gigs on it this weekend and everywhere i went people were checking it out. Atlast i look like i know what i'm doing behind the steel.
