Hi folks,
I haven't posted here for a while - I hope you are all well and enjoying music! Just saw Terry's nice thread with some lap steel pics so I thought I'd share a photo from the other day when I installed myself (or rather, my instruments) in a new place after some time between homes during which some of these beauties were in storage - happy to have them all out of their cases!
From left to right, (Lazy River Weissenborn, then) 1939 Vega console, 2010 Lap King Rodeo (Lollar Supro and Imperial humbucker pickups), 2009 Lap King Rodeo (2 x Lollar Charlie Christians), 1947 National New Yorker, 2 x 1937 National New Yorkers.
I have decided to string up some of them in tunings I have not explored much, to make sure they are all played. I use the black Lap King for most gigs and recordings at the moment - wonderful guitar!
Cheers,

Very nice- I'm curious how you would characterize the tone of the Rodeo with the Christian style pickups. that looks like a really sweet setup. |
